Summer Reading
Summer is a time for fun, sunshine, and making memories, but it’s also the perfect time to keep growing as a reader! Reading during the summer helps children keep the skills they worked so hard to build during the school year. Just like playing a sport or an instrument, reading gets better with practice!
When kids read over the summer, they return to school ready to learn, with strong vocabularies, better focus, and lots of new ideas to share. Plus, summer reading can be fun! Whether it's silly stories, exciting adventures, or books about things they love, reading helps spark curiosity and imagination.
So grab a good book, find a comfy spot, and enjoy a summer filled with stories. A little reading each day goes a long way!
